  INSPIRING INSTRUCTORS

Our faculty, interns and staff are passionate voice, acting and dance teachers who are thrilled to share their love of the arts with our students year after year. All members of our team are selected for their varied expertise and passion for cultivating artistry and musicianship in young performers!  Our Summer Institute program maintains an  extremely low and unparalleled teacher to student ratio, ensuring each student receives the individualized attention he or she needs.
Voice instructors hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in music, education or theater and several also hold graduate degrees.  Moreover, they are teaching and performing professionals  who can share their extensive performance experience to inspire your child to reach his or her full potential!

  THE TRAINING

At Central Florida Vocal Arts Summer Institute, young singer-actors between the ages of 7 and 12 will learn about all aspects of the performing arts and musical theater.   Students older than the age of 12 are invited to participate in Summer Institute II, which will take place the following week.

Our program is conducted in an inclusive way allowing beginning students the opportunity to explore performance in a safe and supportive environment, while  challenging advanced singers to take their skill sets to the next level.

Students can look forward to training in the following areas:

* Private Vocal Coaching          * Musical Ensemble Rehearsals        * Audition Preparation

* Dance & Choreography          * Technical Production                       * Resume & Career Guidance

* Stagecraft                                  * Script Writing

The Summer Institute will culminate in a vocal recital on Friday evening and our full production on Saturday night.  These performances will be open to the public and will allow our students the opportunity to demonstrate their growth in both solo and ensemble areas achieved through our program.

MASTER CLASSES
Master Classes are group seminars wherein students have the opportunity to learn about specific areas of performance from a teacher who is considered a master in that subject.  Master classes typically begin with a brief presentation on the subject from the master  teacher, followed by student performances, demonstrating the area of focus.  Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer critical insight.  Whether a student is performing in a master class or simply watching colleagues apply the new skill set, these classes provide a unique opportunity for experiential learning.

  FRIENDSHIPS & COMRADERIE

At CFL Vocal Arts Summer Institute, we cultivate a supportive atmosphere, wherein our students feel inspired to take artistic risks and explore their unique abilities and talents.  This experience leads to strong and special friendships that students carry with them into the school year.  We are proud to offer a program where students grow artistically and emotionally, while having an unforgettable summer experience

SCHOLARSHIPS & DISCOUNTS
Scholarships are available to outstanding students who can demonstrate financial need.  Students requesting scholarship must give a live audition to the CFL Vocal Arts’ Board.  Students are asked to prepare a musical theater or classical piece, which best showcases their vocal ability.  Students should bring sheet music in their preferred key to their scholarship audition and an accompanist will be provided.  A capella auditions are highly discouraged.
All scholarship allocations are at the discretion of the CFL Vocal Arts board.  Scholarship auditions will take place in early May and are limited availability.  Most awards are partial scholarships, so as to provide as many opportunities to as many young performers as possible.

To request a scholarship audition, please email Theresa at CFLVocalArts@gmail.com ASAP.

Students who have attended the Summer Institute in the past are eligible for a $50.00 tuition discount.  A $50.00 sibling discount is also available to families who enroll more than one student.  Discounts cannot be combined.
